Original Arles Blue paint shows amazingly well for it’s age. The previous owner installed a wood shelving/bed protector which we took out. It looks as if they bed of the truck had never been used! In the back of the bed is a 12 volt waterproof box hardwired to the battery. Most of these Hi-Cap trucks were used for hard labor. This particular truck looks to have spent an easy life on a farm. Yes, some small dings and imperfections but nothing like you’d expect from a heavy duty work truck. From the frame, panels, interior, etc, the condition is spectacular.
The interior has bench seating for 3, aftermarket pod with vault gauge, boost gauge, USB ports and manual switch for electric engine cooling fan. The dash fascia has been upgraded to steel.
Driving this Defender is like nothing we’ve driven before. It pulls like a train through 5th gear and sits at 70mph with ease. The heavy duty winch bumper adds protection while the stainless steel chequered plating protects the wing tops. Shifts smoothly through all 5 gears.
