1994 Land Rover Defender 90. LHD. Equipped with the venerable 300tdi and R380 5spd combination. The exterior is finished in vintage Limestone with a white roof and matching white wolf wheels wrapped in new 235/85r16 Cooper STT Discoverer Pros. LED lighting all the way around.
Two bucket seats up front with rear inward facing benches freshly recovered in black synthetic leather with tartan inlay, hand-cut black carpeting and a new black headliner in alcantara.
While not very fast, these torquey little Defender’s will climb a tree. The 300 tdi, known for being bulletproof, idles smooth and pulls strong through all five gears and cruises well at 65-70mph on the highway. Slight puff of smoke on cold start is to be expected, otherwise no other smoke. Bottom end was resealed. Engine is tight with ZERO leaks.
The R380 transmission, which is the preferred gearbox in these older Defenders, sometimes takes a double clutch in second when cold, otherwise shifts crisp and deliberate with zero play in the handle. Resealed with ZERO leaks.
New power steering box with no leaks.
