1998 Land Rover Discovery 1 LSE – NAS – North American Spec. 50th anniversary edition; British Racing Green with light tan interior – 139k original miles. 4.0L V8 w/ ZF auto transmission and LT230 transfer case w/ hi/lo selection and center differential lock.

The 1998 50th anniversary Discovery LSE’s were a limited edition production. To distinguish them from previous years, Land Rover added chrome bumpers, TWR alloy wheels, 240-watt audio, additional wood, leather on cubby/shifter, stainless door handles and a special Bahama Beige leather interior with Lightstone piping.

All-time 4wd with low and high selections and center differential lock.

These Discos are getting harder to find in rust free solid conditions. This particular one comes from the dry Idaho climate and is well preserved. The original British Racing Green green shows very well, some clear coat fading on side of hood and on roof, otherwise looks very good for a 23 year old vehicle. The 2” Terrafirma lift with 7.5×16 BFG tyres give it the perfect stance.

The interior dash is excellent (no curling from the sun) and door panels are in excellent shape. The original Bahama Beige leather shows very well for its age with one “cigar” burn on the driver side cushion. Sunroofs are  non-functional with no leaks.

This particular Discovery runs and drives very well. It’s solid, true and very comfortable. It has no problem tracking 75mph highway speeds (these trucks aren’t known for their speed!) as well as towing 5k lbs. Dual climate control with heated seats. AC and heater work very well. No oil drips on driveway!

These first gen Discovery’s are truly a unique SUV that will give you a long life of trusty service. Every time we get behind the wheel we’re reminded why we love these trucks. All the capabilities of a Defender and the comfort of a Range Rover. We’ve taken care of all the particulars on this Disco so it will give its new owner a very long maintenance free ownership.
